In 1826, French physician and Anthelme Brillat-Savarin wrote: Dis-moi ce que tu manges, je te dirai ce que tu es. “Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you what you are.” These words led to the expression, “You are what you eat.” If you eat healthy foods, you will feel healthier and have a brighter outlook on life.

Eating well is just one aspect of nourishing your body, though. We all need exercise, but in our sedentary society, getting enough exercise can be a challenge. If you have a sedentary occupation, little things like your posture can make a big difference to your physical sense of well-being. If you habitually slouch, your mental outlook will “slouch” too, and you may suffer from back problems that will prevent you from getting the exercise you need after work. A good chiropractor may do two things for you:

  1. Help relieve aches and pains
  2. Teach you proper posture to help prevent recurring injuries
